When Birthday’s Are Celebrated In Heaven

I can only imagine what a glorious day it is in Heaven today and are they celebrating in Heaven today? It’s my grandma’s birthday, which she called the “Turd of March” in her little voice with laughter underneath. I know that when you receive your reward of entering Heaven, you receive the gift of never aging or celebrate birthdays, but I can’t help but wonder if my grandma, in some way, celebrates it. She loved her birthday even though it was a big deal when she was growing up. Possibly because she grew up in the early 1900’s and things were scarce in her family. How could it not be with 10 children? Times had to be so hard with raising that many little ones. I do know that even if money was scarce, love was not. She always told me, as a child, that growing up was hard but

How Are Disciples Created

“Go into all of the world preaching the gospel and making disciples.” Isn’t this the great commission or doctrine that churches put as their highest declaration to accomplish, It is a statement that Christ surely wants us to do. Otherwise why would He have ever mentioned it? Does it really have any bearing on us or who He wants us to be? I believe it absolutely does. Why would we want to hold onto all of the great knowledge that we have, and keep it to ourselves? Why wouldn’t we want others to become Christ Like as we are trying to do? So is it our duty then? His heart did this, so why can’t ours?

Surviving Breast Cancer I can still remember the day I found the lump in my right breast. It’s a moment that completely catches you off guard. It’s one of those moments you don’t ever expect to happen in your life, yet when it does you can’t believe it’s real. That was how I felt that day. I thought there’s no way there’s a lump here, I’ll check it again in a couple days because I know it’ll be gone. It wasn’t. It wasn’t going to disappear. So I did what every other person would hopefully do and made an appointment with my gynecologist. She was able to get me in within a week. That week was long. Wondering about the what if’s
