Speaker Lisa Millican Romero is empowering others
from the journeys life has taken her through. Currently, Lisa is working on writing her own book on her life with the hope of helping others who may struggle with forgiving someone in their life for the hurt they have endured and beginning their own healing process.
Lisa Romero was born in Montrose, Colorado, and is currently a teacher in Montrose, Colorado. She has been teaching for 19 years. She has received a Master of Science in Reading and Mathematics. In addition, she also has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a concentration in Anthropology with an Elementary Education Degree, and an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
Lisa grew up in Montrose with her dad and had many struggles in her life growing up. It all began when she was 5, when her mother gave her to her dad to raise, which began a life of sadness, eventually leading to anger issues surrounding her mother. After many years of anger and curiosity about what happened to her mom and why she gave her up, her mother’s phone number came to fruition, changing the course of her life forever. Astonishingly, she forgave her mom for the hurt she endured over the years and her heart began to heal from the damage of not having a mom in her life. Today she can understand the pain others have also encountered and empower them to heal as well.
